Après avoir sorti Bhaisajyaguru, leur premier EP 2021 puis leurs deux premiers albums Treasury of the True Dharma Eye 正法眼藏 et Three Thousand Realms in a Single Thought Moment 一念三千 l'an dernier uniquement au format digital, le groupe de Death Metal bouddhiste taïwanais Dharma 達摩樂隊 vient de faire paraître au format physique leur premier album. Il est disponible au format CD et K7.
Le groupe explique que ces derniers étaient prêt depuis un certain temps mais qu'ils souhaitaient donner vie à ses produits manufacturé en les faisant bénir par un bodhisattva : "Dharma’s CDs and tapes have actually been ready to go for a while.However, we believe that these should not just be "lifeless" products made of polystyrene or other composite materials. Each product contains the efforts and heart of many people. We pray that these "lifeless" products, after being blessed by Buddhist bodhisattvas, will allow friends who receive Dharma’s CDs, tapes, or peripherals to feel our thoughts and the power of our Buddha's wishes, and bring peace and happiness to every friend.
Whatever the faith of our friends may be, or without any faith at all, this is our mindset, hoping to turn the inanimate into sentient beings. We hope to convey our thoughts through music and other works and bring forth the peace and happiness of all sentient beings.
Therefore, we have offered all that we have made before the Buddha and listened to the scriptures and teachings with the master for a period of time. Now, we are ready to officially release them. Le titre de ce premier album est une référence au Shōbōgenzō œuvre majeure, et inachevée, du Maître Dôgen (1200 - 1253), fondateur du Zen Sôto au Japon, rédigée de 1231 jusqu'à sa mort. Le titre de l'ouvrage est lui-même une référence, puisqu'il évoque un épisode de la vie du Bouddha, sur le « mont des Vautours », lorsque le Vénéré signifie qu'il transmet la Loi à Mahâkâsyapa, en commençant son adresse par ces quelques mots « J'ai le trésor de l’œil de la loi authentique... ».
