Après avoir dévoilé son premier Single "The Crow", le groupe irlandais de Black Metal / Folk Celtique, Cruachan vient de dévoiler l'artwork et le contenu de son prochain album, The Living and The Dead. Il sortira le 24 Mars via Despotz Records.
Pour ce nouvel album le groupe a fait appel à de nombreux invités. On retrouvera donc au chant sur différents morceaux Kim Dylla (ex-Gwar, A Winter Lost), Vreth (...and Oceans, Finntroll), Nella (Embalming Theatre) et Jon Campling (Harry Potter, Final Fantasy). On retrouvera également à la cornemuse, au tin whistle et à la low whistle, Geoffroy Dell'Aria (Les Bâtards du Nord, ex-La Maisnie Hellequin, Skyforger etc.), à l'accordéon Camillus Hiney puis Stu ‘La Rage’ Dixon (Venom) pour un solo de guitare, la tin whistle aura un autre interprêt en la personne de John O'Fathaigh (ex-Cruachan, ex-Folkodia), on retrouvera également du tuba ténor joué par Sinead Richards.
L'artwork à découvrir ci-dessous est signé Vagelis Petikas (Gentihaa, On Thorns I Lay, Sparzanza etc.). L'enregistrement, la production et le mixage on étaient réalisé par Michael Richards.
