Mastodon sera de retour le 29 octobre avec un huitième album, intitulé Hushed and Grim, qui sortira chez Reprise Records. Son artwork est signé Paul Romano.
Les Américains ont également annoncé une tournée prochaine, en Amérique du Nord ainsi qu'en Europe. Deux dates françaises sont à venir :
7 juin 2022 : Salle Pleyel (Paris)
17-19 juin 2022 : Hellfest (Clisson)
