L'artiste psychédélique et avant-gardiste chinois Dolphy Kick Bebop (海豚踢) vient de sortir son nouvel album Briefvisit via WV Sorcerer Productions (巫唱片). Il est disponible au format digital, une version LP sortira le 23 Septembre prochain.
Ce nouvel album est plus influencé par le free-jazz, la noise et le Jazz Roots africain : "Comparing to their highly appreciated first EP "Smoke a Haiku Cigarette" out on Space Fruity Records in 2018, we can find more drone, free jazz and improvisation elements in "Briefvisit". Influences also include African jazz roots, tribal percussion, Japanese free improvisation / noise sound, and of course the 60-70s prog rock. The raw guitar fuzz, the double bass and saxophone echo each other, with various acoustic instruments improvisation part, this album speaks to the mountain winds in humid Southern China and to the flaming fires that burst."
