Adeptes d'Opeth ou encore Agalloch venez découvrir le nouvel album du quatuor finlandais, Perihelion Ship. Leur nouvel album The Paint a Bird of Fire est une ode à la nature, à la fois Extrême et progressive. Voici les mots qui l'accompagnent :
"I had seen this dream many times. I would wake up on some shore, not knowning who, or where I was. And then the questions would come flooding in. A red hot sun would climb the edge of the world and explode into hundreds of these great birds of fire – and I would find myself chasing one of them throughout the dream. Mountain paths of old and great rivers would guide me somewhere which I knew to be the edge... Not the edge of the dream but the edge of something extremely significant.
I knew because that's where I would find the bird.

Il a été enregistré et produit par Kris McCormick entre entre fin 2016 et l'été 2017. La musique a été composée par le chanteur/guitariste du groupe, Andreas Hammer à l’exception de 'Wind of No Echoes' qui a été fait avec Konttinen qui s'est aussi occupé de toutes les paroles. Pour ce qui est de l'artwork il est signé Mikko Jaakonsaari.
