Initialement paru en 1984, le groupe mythique de la scène Heavy/Doom Cirith Ungol a vu son album "King of the Dead" être réédité par Metal Blade le 28 avril agrémenté de titres live et revisité pour certains. Ecoutez cette réédition de "King of the Dead" ci-dessous.
Les artworks du groupe ont été réalisés par Michael Whelan et sont tirés des livres d'Elric de Melnibone écris par Michael Moorcock.
Notons que le groupe s'est reformé en 2015.
